One day before the Nyepi day, to support the achievement of self purify and to return the earth into her initial harmony,
hindu followers in Yogyakarta and Central Java held a “Tawur Agung Kesanga” ceremony in the Court of Prambanan Temple.
“Tawur Agung Kesanga” ceremony, great sacrificial ceremony offered to the underworld spirits for not disturbing human being’s settlement followed by procession “Ogoh-ogoh” (huge doll symbolizing evil spirit). (March 15, 2010; 10.00 – 12.00)

Longest dragon-shaped lantern appeared in the closing The fifth of Yogyakarta Chinese Festival 2010 or Pekan Budaya Tionghoa Yogyakarta (PBTY) that was held across the Jalan Malioboro to Ahmad Yani, Saturday night Feb 27, 2010; 06.35 pm.
The dragon lantern is made of cloth with a total weight of 2.6 tons, 1,300 lights and 40 batteries, which carried about 300 people, this is the longest dragon lantern in Asia, and has received recognition from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI).

The Ceremony of Miyos Gongso is carry out of the Gamelan Kyai Nogo wilogo and Kyai Guntur Madu to be placed in Mosque Gede. This ceremony is held once every eight years, which known as Grebeg Tahun Dal in Sekaten Celebration of Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat. Date: Feb 19, 2010 Time: 23.00
