Temples in the Dieng Plateau are named relating to the story or puppet characters in the story Purwa Mahabharata, for example Arjuna Temple, Ghatotkacha Temples, Dwarawati Temple, Bima Temple, Semar Temple, Sembadra Temple,  and Puntadewa Temple. Name of the temple has nothing to do with the function of the building and estimated the given name of the temple after the temple was abandoned or not used anymore.</p>
